REFEREE CLINICS

Attention NTWSA captains and players!!

There are three different referee clinics coming up in the next month. I challenge each of you to get at least one player from your team to get certified to help with the referee shortage we are experiencing throughout the area. As we said at the captains meeting, NTWSA will reimburse the class fee to any player (you pay the registration fee) who gets certified and works a few women's games this season. I can hook you up with our assignor's and they can schedule you games either before or after you play on Sundays. We might as well pay our ref fees to our own players.

Grade 12 - Assistant Referee: Certifies you to be a linesman at adult games. Clinic is one day and will be held on February 1st at the NTPSA (men's league) office. Map and flyer. You can call Robin Steinshnider at 469-774-1249 to register or call Billy Harris at 469-261-0378.

Grade 8 - Basic Referee: Certifies you to work the middle or lines at a game. Two 3-day clinics are being offered. One is in Irving, Jan 29th - Feb 1st. Call John Bounds to register at 972-257-1666. The second is in Richardson, Feb 6th - Feb 8th.  Please see flyer for registration instructions.

For each class you pay a class fee to take the class (which NTWSA will reimburse) and a USSF fee and insurance fee when you pass. For Grade 12 the class fee is $20 and the USSF fee and insurance fee is $25. For Grade 8 the class fee is $25 and the USSF fee and insurance fee is $30.
